Why one control room, not four

Splitting monitoring across multiple control rooms means splitting standards, training and accountability too — a client with sites in two regions would effectively be dealing with two different suppliers. Keeping it in one place in the Lincolnshire Wolds means one team knows every client, however many sites they have and wherever those sites are.

Response is the opposite case: it only works if it's local. An officer based three counties away is not a fast response, whatever the contract says. That's why Immingham, Epsom and Rhondda exist as real bases with our own people and vehicles, not just names on a coverage map.
